RV Description
I am selling the above due to me not being able to get summer vacations at work anymore. I wouldn't hesitate driving this RV cross country at any time. I have done quite a bit of work in the last couple years I owned it. I have put nearly 40,000 miles on it in the last five years of ownership. Here is the good - Everything works. I used to be an ASE technician and all work minus tires was done by me. I have replaced the following due to age - Radiator (All aluminum), all rubber hoses, water pump, fan clutch, belts, both heater cores, fuel pump, injectors, fuel filter, spark plugs (with updated ford torque), coils, front and rear brakes and brake hoses, serviced rear differential, all fluids flushed, transmission torque convertor, front pump seal, front transmission pump, pan and gasket, all four shocks replaced with KONI shocks. The generator has 409 hours on it, and at 350 miles it received a full service, fuel pump, plugs, brushes. Both A/C units work perfect and both blower motors were replaced. All the above was done in 2021.
The engine is the Ford V10 with the 4r100 transmission. The coach has a very high weight carrying capacity compared to a class C. It is built on the F53 Ford Chassis.
The interior was repainted except for the immediate drivers area, new flooring (hated carpet), new faucet for kitchen, blinds replaced, all interior and exterior lighting changed to LED. The couches and seats have covers on them (original upholstery in perfect shape). All appliances work perfect, has satellite dish (unknown if works). Batteries replaced in 2022, Rear tires are from 2021, front tires are 2016, tread is above 90 percent on all. I replaced the skylights in 2021. There are front and rear sway bar stabilizers installed. Trailer hitch is on rear and wired for a roadmaster tow system.
Being a Winnebago, this coach has a full one piece fiberglass roof. It was resealed around the seam per Winnebago service manual every two years using the correct Winnebago sealant. All the roof protrusions were resealed in 2021. There are no leaks and have not been leaks since my ownership.
The Bad, both windshields have stress cracks, drivers side in the corner and the passenger side on the top. These have been there since I purchased it and after getting hit with rocks I just never replaced them since they do not interfere at all with the sight lines. The front tires should be replaced due to time (nothing wrong just getting older).
The RV was stored with a cover at all times, it is still winterized but can be un winterized when someone wants to come view it, this coach will last many more years if taken care of and I wish I could keep using it but it just isn't in the cards right now. The RV is located in Fox Lake Ill, I live in Chicago and can show it upon request. I have all the service manuals and the Winnebago shop manuals for the coach. I can answer any questions. I work midnights so email is best but if a voicemail is left, please let me know an OK time to call back.
